Beyond Idol Winners

BEYOND IDOL (BI), a project of Beyond Emancipation (B:E), is a talent competition for foster youth centered on the theme of “emancipation.” BEYOND IDOL celebrates the creativity and talent of Alameda County foster youth aged 16-24.

You’ve probably heard the news about the struggles faced by children and youth who are removed from their homes because of abuse and neglect. What often gets missed in those headlines, however, are the vast stores of resilience and talent that foster youth possess.
