Volunteer Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • For certain volunteer positions, you will be asked to make a minimum volunteer commitment of three months.
  • All volunteers must adhere to a strict code of client confidentiality, as well as all program policies and procedures (click here to view the B:E Volunteer Agreement.)

B:E welcomes local corporate and other groups. Together, we work to enrich the lives of youth in our programs including 3 housing sites. Corporate volunteers develop teamwork experience and build group morale while lending a helping hand to youth in need.

We have one-time volunteer projects available for small groups. We can accommodate up to groups of 8 volunteers. Depending on the number of volunteers, potential projects including planting our garden beds, adopt a house for the holidays, celebrating mother’s day and more. Event sponsorship is an excellent way to enhance your company’s visibility in the community. B:E offers various levels of sponsor recognition, including recognition in e-newsletters, website, signage, annual report and more.

Invite Us To Speak

Have a speaker from B:E visit your office to talk about our efforts to address the needs of the youth with experience in foster care in Alameda County. We’d value the opportunity to get to know your office better.

Workplace Giving

Designate B:E as your charity during the fall United Way, Combined Federal Campaign or other campaign. Simply write our name and address on your pledge form:
