Family Unification Program (FUP)
In partnership with Alameda County SSA, Beyond Emancipation, Oakland Housing Authority and City of Alameda Housing Authority Family Unification Program (FUP) Vouchers can be granted to young adult at least 18 years old and not more than 21 years old who left foster care at age 16 or older and who lack adequate housing. FUP vouchers used by B:E current participants and are limited by statute to 18 months of housing assistance through a designated housing choice voucher program (formerly known as Section 8). Currently, Beyond Emancipation partners with the City of Alameda Housing Authority and the City of Oakland Housing Authority to provide FUP vouchers to former foster youth that meet the above criteria.

Transition Services are available to youth from age 18 until they turn 21. Information and Referral services are available to young adults over 21 and under 24. For more information, call (510) 667-7694 and ask to speak to the worker of the day.
